The Role

Operating within Chaos1’s Technology Division, you will lead the design, development, implementation, integration and optimisation of our software capabilities.

You will work closely with Chaos1’s leadership, team members, external partners and clients both domestically and internationally to ensure user-focused adoption and employment of our technology platform. A passion for big thinking and a bias for action with strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills is a key aspect of your role.

Required Experience:

  • Practical experience, designing, implementing and maintaining platform solutions
  • Experience with Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Edge and Edge IT systems
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork and communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills
  • Strong DevSecOps background
  • Experience implementing best practice security and monitoring
  • Proficient in CICD tools and technologies
  • Excellent understanding of containerisation and tooling
  • Good understanding of SRE principles
  • Ability to effectively present information to different target audiences both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to work alongside the customer
  • Either possess or be able to achieve an Australian Government NV2 security clearance in due course

Favoured Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics or a similar field
  • Experience writing frontend applications
  • Experience writing backend services
  • Experience writing embedded software
  • Experience building, training and maintaining LLMs
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code, and Docker
  • Defence and National Security experience
  • Defence Veteran
